Best hotel management software (2027): 12 systems compared for every type of hotel

The best system for a 12‑room hotel is rarely the best one for a 300‑room resort or a chain of twenty. Here are 12 hotel management systems, what each one says it does, what it costs where the price is public, and which kind of hotel each one suits.

BedKeys accounts: profit and money on hand, eight checks that the books agree with the hotel, and month close

Key points

  • Start from your hotel, not the brand: the number of rooms, whether you run a restaurant, how much you sell through booking sites, and how many hotels you have.
  • Many systems keep the restaurant, accounting or distribution as add‑ons or partner apps. Add those to the price before you compare.
  • Six of the 12 publish a price. For the rest, ask for the full monthly cost in writing, with setup, payments and every add‑on.
  • BedKeys is our own product. It suits hotels that want the front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and full accounting in one system, at a public price per room.

How we compared them

What we checked for each system

  • Front desk, housekeeping and the end of day (Night audit) in one system
  • A restaurant till that sends kitchen tickets and charges to the room: included, an add‑on, or a partner app
  • Accounting inside the system, or through other software
  • A booking engine for your own website, and a channel manager for booking sites
  • Who the provider says it is for: the size and type of hotel
  • Whether the price is published, and what costs extra

What each provider’s public pages say (3 November 2026). “Not stated” means we couldn’t find it, not that it’s missing.

One pattern stands out: of the 12, we didn’t find another system whose public pages list full accounting, stock and purchasing, and a restaurant with kitchen tickets all in the base plan. That matters most to hotels with a restaurant, where the room bill, the kitchen and the books have to agree every night.

The 12 systems in detail

1. BedKeys

Our own product, so read this one with that in mind. BedKeys runs the front desk, housekeeping on staff phones, the restaurant with kitchen tickets, stock and purchasing, cash shifts, the Night audit and full accounting with bank reconciliation, in one system in the browser. Every charge shows its tax and the new balance before it is saved, a wrong charge is corrected with a reason instead of deleted, and after each Night audit the Watchdog lists what looked unusual.

  • Best for: boutique hotels, resorts, city hotels and small groups that want the whole hotel and its money in one system.
  • Check before you buy: the channel manager is coming soon; sending invoices straight to a tax authority is planned; BedKeys is newer than every other system here, with fewer hotels using it; the app is in English.
  • Price: BedKeys Core is PKR 1,000 per room a month, and BedKeys Direct, with a booking engine and no booking commission, PKR 1,200. Paying for a year saves 30%. We quote in other currencies on request.

2. Mews

Mews, founded in Prague in 2012, says it works in 85 countries, for groups and chains as well as small and independent hotels. It has a booking engine, a channel manager, a housekeeping app, payments and revenue tools, and a POS add‑on that sends orders from table to kitchen. There is no night audit step: the day moves on by itself (pricing).

  • Best for: boutique and city hotels up to groups that want a broad, modern suite.
  • Check before you buy: some features are in higher plans or are add‑ons, and payment processing is billed separately.
  • Price: per room, on request (Core, Pro and Enterprise plans).

3. Cloudbeds

Cloudbeds, founded in 2012, says over 20,000 properties in 150 countries use it, from small hotels to groups. Its One and Experience plans include a booking engine and channel manager with no added commission, and the night audit runs automatically. A built‑in restaurant POS was announced in October 2026 and is in a pilot with selected customers (pricing).

  • Best for: hotels of any size that sell through many booking sites.
  • Check before you buy: accounting is through other software such as QuickBooks or Xero, and revenue tools are an add‑on.
  • Price: on request (Flex, One, Experience and Enterprise plans).

4. Oracle OPERA Cloud

OPERA Cloud is Oracle’s PMS for hotels from limited‑service properties to luxury resorts and casinos, and Oracle says eight of the world’s ten largest hotel groups use it. The restaurant POS (Simphony) and distribution are separate Oracle products, and it is licensed per guest room.

  • Best for: international chains and large hotels with their own IT support.
  • Check before you buy: the full cost of the PMS, POS, distribution and the setup project together.
  • Price: on request.

5. Shiji Daylight

Daylight is Shiji’s cloud PMS for hotel groups, from regional groups to luxury hotels, and Shiji says it also works for independent hotels. It has a housekeeping app and works with Shiji’s POS, distribution and revenue partners (Daylight).

  • Best for: hotel groups, luxury and resort hotels.
  • Check before you buy: distribution and revenue tools come from outside the PMS.
  • Price: on request.

6. eZee Absolute (Yanolja Cloud Solution)

eZee Absolute, now sold as Yanolja Cloud Solution, says over 33,000 hotels in 170 countries use it, from 10 rooms to over 500. The base plan includes a booking engine and channel manager, and a restaurant POS with stock is an add‑on that charges to the room (pricing).

  • Best for: independent hotels and resorts that sell through booking sites and may add a restaurant.
  • Check before you buy: only the price for 1–5 rooms is published, and accounting isn’t described.
  • Price: from $80 a month for 1–5 rooms; the restaurant POS is $60 per outlet a month; setup and training are included.

7. Hotelogix

Hotelogix, a Singapore company founded in 2008, says over 12,000 hotels in 100 countries use it, including resorts, serviced apartments and hotel groups. It covers the front desk, housekeeping, a restaurant POS with kitchen tickets, a booking engine, a channel manager and revenue management, with a mobile app (Hotelogix).

  • Best for: independent hotels and groups that want to try before they buy.
  • Check before you buy: accounting and stock come through marketplace apps.
  • Price: on request; a free trial.

8. Clock PMS+

Clock Software, from Bulgaria, says over 1,500 independent hotels in 50 countries use Clock PMS+, including boutique, resort, event and wellness hotels. One subscription includes the restaurant POS with a kitchen screen, events and a housekeeper app (pricing).

  • Best for: independent hotels with a restaurant, events or a spa.
  • Check before you buy: the price rises with the hotel’s yearly revenue, there is a 12‑month minimum and an onboarding fee, and booking sites other than Booking.com cost extra.
  • Price: based on yearly revenue and rooms; Clock’s example is €517 a month for a 40‑room hotel with €1.9 million of revenue a year.

9. Little Hotelier

Little Hotelier, from SiteMinder in Australia, is made for properties under 20 rooms. It has a mobile app with housekeeping, a booking engine, a channel manager connected to over 450 booking sites, and one inbox for guest messages from email, WhatsApp and booking sites.

  • Best for: small hotels that sell through booking sites and run the day from a phone.
  • Check before you buy: a 1% fee on bookings on top of the subscription, and no restaurant or accounting described.
  • Price: a monthly fee by number of rooms, plus 1% of bookings; a 30‑day free trial.

10. apaleo

apaleo, founded in Munich in 2017, says over 2,200 properties use it, mostly groups, independent hotels and serviced apartments in Europe. It is an open system: the core handles rooms, rates and accounts, and you add a booking engine, channel manager, housekeeping and POS from its app store (pricing).

  • Best for: groups with their own developers or a tech partner.
  • Check before you buy: most of what a hotel runs day to day comes from partner apps with their own prices.
  • Price: €8 per room a month, from €400 a month, with no setup or licence fees.

11. WebRezPro

WebRezPro, from Calgary in Canada, serves hotels, motels, inns and multi‑property operators, mostly in North America. It has a commission‑free booking engine and integrated accounting, and connects to POS and channel managers through partners (pricing).

  • Best for: North American hotels that want a clear, published price.
  • Check before you buy: the restaurant, channel manager and revenue tools are partner products; contracts are yearly.
  • Price: $10 per room a month, with a minimum from $100 a month; no setup fees and unlimited users.

12. Sirvoy

Sirvoy, family‑run since 2008, says over 4,000 properties use it. It is built for independent operators, with a commission‑free booking engine, a channel manager on its Pro plan, housekeeping and basic accounting (pricing).

  • Best for: very small hotels that want to start free or cheaply, with no contract.
  • Check before you buy: no restaurant POS outside Sweden yet, and no revenue management.
  • Price: free for 1 room; Starter from €12 and Pro from €44 a month, rising with rooms; a 14‑day trial.

How to choose

  1. Write down what you must have

Rooms, the restaurant, accounting, a booking engine, a channel manager, the number of hotels. Cross off any system that keeps a must‑have in a partner app you don’t want to pay for separately.

  2. Work out the real monthly cost

Add the plan, the add‑ons, payment fees, booking fees and setup for your number of rooms. A cheap base plan with four add‑ons can cost more than an all‑in‑one.

  3. Watch it work on your busiest moment

In the demo, ask to see a check‑in, a restaurant bill charged to the room, a wrong charge corrected and the end of day. That is where systems differ.

  4. Check your way out

Ask for the contract length, and whether you can take a full copy of your data with you if you leave.

Questions

What is the best hotel management software?

It depends on the hotel. For the whole hotel, restaurant and accounts in one system at a public per‑room price, BedKeys. For small properties, Little Hotelier or Sirvoy. For selling through many booking sites, Cloudbeds or eZee Absolute. For chains, Oracle OPERA Cloud or Shiji Daylight.

How much does hotel management software cost?

Of the 12 here, six publish a price: from PKR 1,000 per room a month (BedKeys), $10 per room (WebRezPro), €8 per room (apaleo), from $80 a month for up to 5 rooms (eZee Absolute), from €12 a month (Sirvoy), and by revenue and rooms (Clock PMS+). Add‑ons, payment fees and booking fees can change the total a lot.

What is the best hotel software for a small hotel?

Little Hotelier is made for properties under 20 rooms, and Sirvoy has a free plan for 1 room and low‑cost plans after that. If a small hotel also runs a restaurant or wants full accounts, compare BedKeys too.

Which hotel software includes a restaurant POS?

BedKeys and Clock PMS+ include one in the plan, and Hotelogix lists a POS with kitchen tickets. Mews and eZee Absolute sell one as an add‑on, Cloudbeds is piloting one, and the others connect to partner POS systems.
